ELEMENTARY GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT
Mrs. Corinne McBrier,
Elementary School Counselor
My name is Corinne McBrier, and I am the school guidance counselor at Fairview Elementary School. As a part of the school's counseling program, support is provided to all students in their academic, personal/social, and career development. All students have access to the guidance program through individual counseling, small group counseling, guidance lessons in the classroom, or school-wide programs. Guidance counseling lessons are presented to students in Grades K-4 in conjunction with the academic curriculum.
Students come to the guidance office to get assistance about topics that are impacting their success in school such as study skills, self-esteem, friendship, bullying, etc.
Fairview School District also has a comprehension Career Education program for students in grades K-12. Engaging lessons are taught based on the Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Career Education.
