Renewing and reusing our resources is important to Fairview Middle School. In an effort to lead the way to a greener community, FMS has established a Recycling Club.
With roughly 100 student members, the Recycling Club participates in the collection of all recyclable materials from classrooms during the Tutorial Period. The recyclables are then taken to a larger bin outside of the building and later collected. Soon, FMS is hoping to obtain an "out-of-building" component, where students go out into the community to clean-up towns, parks, and beaches.
The main objective of the recycling club is to instill recycling habits and enable our student to enhance their outreach efforts with various community service projects, focused around "reduce, reuse, and recycle."
