We, the students of Fairview Middle School,
in order to form a more perfect Middle School,
establish more sincere cooperation among ourselves,
the faculty, and the administration, do hereby ordain and establish
this constitution for the Student Council of Fairview Middle School.
The PURPOSE of the Fairview Middle School Student Council is:
To PROVIDE a means for closer and more active cooperation among the pupils, teachers, administration, and community.
To GIVE to the students, through their representative a chance to express their opinion.
To ORGANIZE student activities in cooperation with the Principal.
To DEVELOP and MAINTAIN a greater school spirit.
To CONTINUE to keep the school a functional and cooperative part of the community.
Both the Junior and Senior Student Council at Fairview Middle School work to establish a connection between parents, teachers, students, administration, and community members by creating and hosting events and activities. At FMS, the Junior Student Council also serves as the head organizers of the student-run school store.
Homeroom electives and officers are selected at the beginning of each school year. The Homeroom Representatives are students that choose to participate in and help the Student Council at events, but do not attend meetings or vote on current council arrangements. For more information on how to run for office or for a more in depth look into the council, check out the Student Council Constitution. For more information about the Junior Student Council, contact Mrs. Welsh. For more information about the Senior Student Council, contact Ms. Andrews.
If you have any suggestions for upcoming events that you would like to see at Fairview Middle School, or if you have any questions, comments, or concerns about Student Council, email one of the student council advisors.
