Curriculum

Fairview’s curricular offerings embrace the subject matter areas basic to a comprehensive educational program. Opportunities are provided to nurture the creative talents of each individual.
Each student will participate in academic classes that include writing, reading, mathematics, science, social studies, and wellness. In addition, all students will be scheduled for six predetermined elective courses that rotate every six weeks. Some of the courses may include: art, music, library, business, computer classes, and technology education.
It is Fairview's mission to develop the whole student in academics, athletics, and the arts. Fairview Middle School does their best to expose all students to all course offering in order to best prepare them for years to come.
For more information regarding your student's schedule, please contact Hannah Kovacs, Guidance Counselor.
A detailed Planned Course is developed for each class delivered at the middle school. The planned course is an abstracted outline of the district's approved curriculum and provides the parents and teachers with an overview of the course, objectives, content, methods of evaluation, expected levels of achievement, and adaptations for special needs' children.
