Blue Bird Houses
By Brent Oleksak
The Blue Bird houses found around the Fairview School District campus were made as part of a project designed to conserve the wildlife found in the area, specifically blue birds. These houses can be found stretching from the north east corner of the school district's property down to the outdoor classroom. This Eagle Project was planned and carried out by Brent Oleksak in order to provide a home for the local blue bird population. Two different types of houses were built, wooden houses and houses made from a plastic tube covered with wood. Along with providing a home and nesting site for blue birds, these bird houses can serve as a tool for educating students on bird species.
