The 7th Grade Career Exploration class worked on career pathway presentations this week. Students presented in groups to share entry level and professional jobs in each pathway.
On September 15, 65 freshmen students participated in the 2023 International Coastal Cleanup on the Fairview campus. These students collected just shy of 2,000 pieces of trash that collectively weighed in at over 150 pounds.
Our Elementary School students are learning all about how to R.O.A.R. They are learning about Respect, Ownership, Achievement, and Resilience. We had our first R.O.A.R assembly last week and to say that the students were hyped up and excited is an understatement! Let's all RROOOAARRRRRR!

The FHS Studio Art 1 students are collaborating to design compositions with a focus on the principles of design (repetition and variety).
The 8th grade science and Algebra students learned about converting measurements this week. In science, the students worked with the metric system. In Algebra, the students learned how to convert speed, area, and volume measurements. In both classes, the students enjoyed working together on labs and practice problems.
Some might think that 2nd grade is just all fun and games....and they would be right! Here our students are playing the Doubles Plus One math game. Students have to roll the dice, double the number that it lands on, add one then cover up that number on their sheet. What a fun way to get kids engaged in math!
The Fairview Marching band's first competition this weekend at General McLane, was a huge success!!! The crowd really enjoyed their performance and the judge comments for the exhibition show were very favorable. Congratulations on your first official showing and good luck this weekend at McDowell.
Senior, Suhas Narra, demonstrated to the board all the great things he is doing for the football team with their new film equipment. Suhas plays a pivotal role in the success of the team.

Students in Mrs. Yates' 5th Grade Math class created a "Math About Me" page to learn about each other as they ease back into school. They created math sentences that describe different numbers in their lives. Check them out at Open House tonight on your child's locker!
What a great First Day of School we had! The students could not have been more excited to see their friends and their teachers, especially the Kindergarteners! Could they be any cuter?
